Walter Strohmayr, president of European Tour Connections, is the very heart of his company that specializes in customized group travel to Central Europe and the United Kingdom. Born and educated in Munich, Germany, Walter grew up traveling throughout Germany and other European countries.

After coming to the United States as a student to continue his education, Walter decided to make the move permanent and began his career as a sales and marketing consultant with Lufthansa German Airlines in 1967. For 28 years, Walter designed group travel packages for Lufthansa clients and utilized his intimate knowledge of Europe to delight his clients with unique venues and activities.

In 1995, Walter opened European Tour Connections in collaboration with Montana Reisen, GmbH/Innsbruck, Austria, as a destination management representative for group travel originating from the United States and Canada. Today, Walter continues to delight groups traveling to central Europe and the United Kingdom for skiing, sports tours, music festival tours and destination city tours.
